When we began the project with renowned architect Nelson Dupré, we had an ambitious challenge at hand: transforming the entrance hall of Estação das Artes, part of the Júlio Prestes Cultural Complex — one of the most iconic and elegant spaces in the capital — into a multipurpose area, without losing its sophistication. Visible to everyone who passes by Estação da Luz, the lobby needed to stop being just a passageway and become a functional space, prepared to host shows and various events.

We worked to develop a refined retractable grandstand that would blend seamlessly into the venue’s classic architecture. We focused on every detail: from the finish that would harmonize with the stained glass windows and the aesthetics of the lobby, to the acoustic and comfort requirements for spectators.

The solution was an innovative grandstand, capable of crossing the hall lengthwise and adapting to different layouts. This allowed for versatile use of the space, adapting to the needs of each event, without compromising the elegance and acoustics required.

The installation, carried out amidst the complexity of a construction site in the heart of São Paulo, was a challenge that our team embraced with dedication. The result is a space that not only impresses with its beauty, but also with its functionality, consolidating VNUpro as a reference in transforming iconic spaces into high-performance multipurpose environments.
